Anyone know if/how i can mount a shared drive on a pc using windows as OS , not locally but over interwebs ?
Wouldnt mind having my pc at home \\pc\d$ drive mounted at work :X

Can do that if you set up a VPN from your home network to yer work

thankfully ive never actually set up VPN's, nor do i know if its a good thing installing the VPN clients at work

share drive on your home pc then just connect to share \\ip_addres\share using login and pass, fw etc must be configured depends on what u using, if u have private ip or if u are behind nat then u have choice of either some hamachi or bouncer or port tunneling, or ofc set vpn, openvpn is good choice anyway im not sure but server side was only for linux/unix based system so via wmvare

ive got the share set up, but cant connect via \\<ip\share.
No firewalls or antivirus clogging it up Neutral
