I'm slightly confused Shael
The 2 forumulas you posted for rage gained from dealing damage pre-expansion and during expansion would indicate that for a level 60, they would generate more rage in the expansion than pre-expansion.
But i thought there was a rage nerf in expansion.
Am i missing something? |

In my gear I'll be getting about a quarter less rage per swing with a two hander for example. (i.e. with the nerf all the new shiny 41pt talent does, is give me back what I have right now, at the COST of ten talent points in fury to get it)
And that's without any buffs boosting my dps (which would drag it down even further)
And note that with the formulas, a flurry proc will actually decrease the amount of rage you get per swing.
Try the calculator based on the formula and play around with it a bit:

Try it out with a mitigation value of 20% or so, which is what a raid target with full debuffs typically ends up with.
The nerf pulls the rage generated down towards about what you would have if you had 96 listed white dps. That's about on par with a warrior in GREENS with a two hander. You don't get that much less rage, but that's the point where the nerf equals out, and anything below that is buffed. That's the problem warrios are having with this, the clear fact that it isn't a normalisation, because if it was a normalisation there would be a benefit to some lowly geared warriors. |

ah i see the difference. Missed a pair of bracets. Kinda changes rage generation from a linear function to a more kinda cubic function. Sure all those under geared warriors we have in guild will be happy  |
