As the title says, help me where blizz fails to help me and earn a nice amount of gold ally side TH ofcourse..

I have this extremly odd lag which I can't really explain. I got it today and it makes me run/use abilites for a few seconds or use the abilities a few secs after I pressed the binded key. And it's not latency lag since my brother doesn't seem to have any problems at all with it and green latency should do.

What I did when I first noticed it occouring again:
I was killing a dragon whelp in dustwallow marsch before our onyxia raid and suddenly it all just messed up and I couldn't control how I moved anylonger..

The odd thing is that I had this problem some weeks ago aswell, before I formatted my hard drive, and now it seems to have come back to haunt me.
One thing I have noticed is that when I try to write the ' ^ ' I get two of them right away when I only press that button once, ^^ < like that.
It's only like this in game, if I tab out to windows my keyboard works as intended and doesn't write two ^'s in one click...

The things I have tried is rebooting my computer, removing Interface, WDB and WTF folder, checked and tried different language setups for my keyboard, tried different keyboards, still no difference and I still run around like a jo-jo when I run and it makes wow almost inplayable since I don't like running beyond edges, into breath ranges of some encounters etc etc..
So please, does anyone have or had the same or similar problem as me, please reply..

And as I mentioned, it disappeared when I formatted C: some time ago, but I don't feel like do that again..

This is moste likely an IN GAME bug..

**edit**
yea, gotta be something with wow.. tried Warcraft 3 and wrote some weird symbols such as ´¨^', yea you get the point, and they didn't pop up in multiples of two each time I hit the respective button like it does in wow..

You forget one thing: Rock crushes scissors. But paper covers rock... and scissors cuts paper...
Kiff, we have a conundrum. Search them for paper... and bring me a rock.

The obvious question first, have you made sure that you don't have any spyware or viruses?

Remove all of your mods, if it goes away, reinstall them one by one untill it comes back, and remove/update that mod.

Cant really help with anything else, could post your mods/sys spec etc etc...

If you got more time... make backup of addons and other needed things (like patches) , uninstall wow, remove uninstaled wow files, make defragemntation and scan disk of your pc, intall wow again (and patches) check if that helps before you put back wtf folders and addons.

You can also try getting programs to check the memory and graphic card preformance.

last idea - get the repair program, in case it was just little messed up wow file.

That seems to be your problem Fimp, so keep a track of those topics.

Specifically check this first:
Quote:
Look for C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchqs.exe and/or C:\WINDOWS\system32\npkcsvc.exe

That looks to be the keylogger. Simply deleting the files will more than likely not permanantly remove it. Download HijackThis and run the scan and log. It will output processes, look for a line like this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [jiahus] C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchqs.exe

That means you have it. Follow the steps on this page to remove the keylogger.

From what I can see in there, people attribute the keypress-delay problem to keylogging trojans.

Unfortunately the surefire way to remedy is a clean reinstall:
Step 1: Download Windows XP Service Pack 2, burn it to CD. (make sure you have the same language as your XP CD)
Step 2: Unplug your computer from the internet.
Step 3: Get your Windows XP CD, install it over your old windows. (make sure the installation removes your old windows installation)
Step 4: Install Service Pack 2 from CD
Step 5: Verify your XP SP2 firewall is enabled
Step 6: Plug your PC back into the internet, go to windowsupdate and install *all* of the security/critical updates
Step 7: Stop using internet explorer, switch to firefox (or similar) to avoid getting keyloggers.

Your alternative is to get a hold of a copy of SpyCop and serial number (http://spycop.com/spycop-personal-product.htm ), but even that isn't a guaranteed fix.

And before you ask, yes, keylogger software can cause odd behavior depending on the program that is currently active.

Oh little gnome Skwittle, your desire for gold must be enourmous.. Read your mail and thou will find a treasure bigger then you can carry.

thx everyone for your help, but a little file, C:\WINDOWS\system32\svch0st.exe (it's a zero, not an o in host) was the problem all along.

Since it was a keylogging trojan, make sure you doublecheck that it is removed, run windowsupdate, enable a firewall, virusscanner etc.
After you are sure you are secure, start changing all your passwords (warcraft, banking, websites, etc.)

If there is anything you cannot change (credit card information you entered online) I would suggest dealing with that too, such as renewing your creditcard.

This stuff can be serious. You should assume that this trojan is for the purpose of gaining access to your financial data.
